Video | Q&A with Jiller_P

After school drop off it hit me that, like my friend Andrea, I could do a Q&A and make myself more approachable for those in the scrapbook world.  So here it is, the intro to my question and answer segment!

You can also check it out on YouTube HERE.

Feel free to post questions in the comments section of my blog, on Instagram or via email!

Gossamer Blue | Happy Snaps

|
It's Friday!

I'm so late to the SnapChat fun, but I'm definitely making up for all my missed snaps :)

I used Gossamer Blue March kits to create this layout, with a piece of vintage GB 12x12 as my background.  I added some texture paste that I colored with ink and a fun dot stencil.

The embellishments are a mix of Paige Evans and Shimelle from the kits, with a bit of washi for fun.

So many fun sentiment stickers in the March kits, perfect for snaps and sillies.

I did my usual tissue paper mat for the 3x4 photos and added in some paper scraps behind.

Get happy!

Gossamer Blue | Mom Will You Babysit Sprinkle?

|
The Gossamer Blue March Kits are a ton of alpha stickers, perfect for longer titles or adding in tons of little details.

This layout uses two of the alpha sticker sets from the Shimelle sticker book in the Main Kit.  I added the title on two of the journaling stickers to help them stand out from the background patterned paper, then I machine-stitched through them for more detail.

The background consists of two patterned papers adhered to cardstock with a branding strip covering where they intersect.  I also sewed the branding strip with my machine, then added a banner from more Shimelle stickers with even more sewing.

The photo area has more stickers and stitching, and I included a GB exclusive planner clip on the photo.

I added some journaling below the photo, which includes where Sprinkle came from and how I ended up babysitting ;)

I love those little critters on this paper!

Sending a bunch of sillies your way :)

Gossamer Blue | The Good Life

|
Oh, I just love the start of a new month.  A new beginning, a new day on the calendar, and GOSSAMER BLUE KITS!

Today I've got a summer layout using the fresh products from the Gossamer Blue Main Kit.  I love the big rain drops on this Shimelle paper.

I fussy cut the Q and Z from another Shimelle paper, and added in some stickers and exclusive wood veneer, sewing right through everything with my machine.  I hand cranked the needle through the wood veneer, just to be careful.

I added in "the good life" phrase and sunglasses from the Paige Evans puffy sticker pack, they are perfect for this page!

Thanks to my dear friend Sasha for always capturing the best pix of our girls!

Life IS Good!

Gossamer Blue | Hello Trouble

|

I just love the happy color scheme of the March Kits from Gossamer Blue!

There is a pack of Thickers in the Main Kit that make the best titles, and I like that they are in black. I think black against these fun, Springy colors is just perfect, I love the contrast.

I decided to leave the branding strip on the bottom of this Shimelle paper, and cut off a 1/4" on the top of the paper to compensate.  Next, I did a zig-zag stitch across the center following the diagonal in the paper.

I used tissue paper from my stash behind the photo, then used some kit papers to mat the picture, using a washi strip and a few stickers around the photo area.

After adding the title I used washi strips cut at an angle as the basis for this adorable bear sticker, adding in puffy sticker to his little hands.

A washi banner at the top from the leftovers finished the page.  I've been on this more simplified layout kick lately, and I think I'm starting to miss my product explosion/mixed media pages a little, haha!  I'll be sure to get back to myself soon ;)  It feels good to do different stuff, for sure, though!

Stay outta trouble ;)
