Yay it's Tuesday!  I'm sharing this warm and sunny layout on the A Walk Down Memory Lane blog HERE.  The focus for this page is pulling together contrasting themes (or in this case, seasons) for a cohesive page.  Click the link above to read the how-to and for a full list of supplies.

I would like to give a shout out to Kerri Bradford Studio,  I adore the hand written titles she offers in her shop!

Popping in to share another sneak from my class starting in just a few days!  Eeeek!  There are so many videos for this class, including an awesome lesson from my sweet friend Heather.  One of my lessons includes clean and simple style, here's a sneak featuring the Delight in the Details class stamps on a clean and simple card.

Peppermint at One Little Bird designed the class stamp set, which is included with your enrollment (while supplies last), and the sequins are one of the many embellishments included with the class kit available HERE.  Yep, everything you need to layer, embellish and take your pages from good to gorgeous is included in the class kit :)

AWDML Autumn Layout

|
Happy Tuesday!  It's my blog day at A Walk Down Memory Lane and I've got a layout from a new business in the scrap world, Photo Play Paper Co.  I have to say I really like the designs this company has to offer in both the Autumn Day line and their Dear Santa line.  Watch my process video featuring Photo Play Paper Co. on the AWDML blog HERE.

Isn't that little guy the cutest?  Love how his mama has him ready for Fall in that sweet cardi ;)  I used a cut file from Silhouette and the mini leaves dies from Lawn Fawn for all the fabulous fall leaves.

Have a Happy Day!

Another Delight-ful Sneak

|
Hi Friends!  I have another sneaky-sneak for you from my new class at Gossamer Blue:  Delight in the Details.  I would be so honored to have you enroll HERE!  There is a class kit available HERE as well.  I am beyond excited to teach my first class, and so happy it is at Gossamer Blue.  I feel all starry-eyed and I'm pretty sure cartoon hearts and flowers and rainbows are trailing me everywhere I go ;-)

You can seem some of the great embellishments from the class kit in the photo:  wood veneer, acrylic  and enamel shapes, sequins and spray ink.  There's also a little peek of a 3x4 card from the kit, plus one of the tone-on-tone mini dot papers.  There's so many possibilities with this kit, truly.

I'll see you in the Gossamer Blue classroom on September 28th!

Delight in the Details Class

|

As you may have seen on my Instagram feed, I've cooked up a class for Gossamer Blue!  The focus for the class is the little details that bring the wow factor to your layouts or cards.  I worked with Peppermint from One Little Bird to create a class stamp set that is utter perfection and will work for
many different projects.  You will receive the stamp set (image below) FREE when you enroll in the class (while supplies last).

The class kit was also designed by Peppermint and it is a full kit:  8-6x6 pattern papers, sequins in three colors, wood veneer, acrylic shapes, enamel shapes, vellum die cuts, 2-flair badges, Heidi Swapp spray ink and 3x4 and 4x6 cards.

I was going for an end of summer feeling with the kit:  lazy, easy and relaxed days; maybe a bit of a boho vibe too.... late summer music festivals and early Fall outdoor activities.  I wanted a kit that would work for male or female, and icons that are universal and work for tons of layouts.

I hope you like my layout sneaks for the Delight in the Details class!  I created many videos for the class--some days have multiple videos!  And, of course, Gossamer Blue will provide you with PDF's, digital files and a classroom forum.  I hope you'll sign up HERE and purchase the class kit HERE.

Gossamer Blue Blog Hop

|

*This is one of two posts for today; you can find my AWDML post below

It's the 15th and that means it's blog hop time for Gossamer Blue!  Yaaaa-hoooooo!  This month I am sharing my Project 12 spread for the month of August.  For the majority of 2015 I have used the corresponding month kit for my Project 12 layouts, but September kits were just too good to put on the shelf!  I've mentioned before in my Project 12 posts that I am contemplating going to the weekly approach for 2016 and I'm pretty sure that's a done deal.  The Gossamer Blue life pages kits have a ton of cards that I want to use but never have enough room!  Here's a look at what I created for Project 12 August.

I used several kits from GB including the Life Pages Kit, LP Main Add-on and LP Add-on #3, plus the alpha's from the scrapbook Main Add-on.  Take a closer look at each page below.

We took a weekend trip to Denver so the insert for this month is only photos from that trip.
The front is on the left and the back of the insert on the right.  I just realized my alpha stickers got a bit messed up when I photographed them--I promise it says "aquarium" below Denver :)

The page protectors are from We R Memory Keepers (layout left side and insert) and Becky Higgins (layout right side).  I typed up my journaling for the insert using my vintage Hermes 3000.  It's been a while since the Hermes and I had a date, I think it's time she finds a home in my craft room instead of in the basement. (Yes, it is completely necessary to italicize Hermes when I type it, she's that special. Ha!)  Additional stamping was done using the Alphalicious stamp set from Paper Smooches and Sunflower Ink from Lawn Fawn.  As per my Project 12 so far this year, photo stamping done using the Shimelle date stamp and StazOn ink.

Please head on to the adorable and talented Joy Taylor's blog!  A full list of blog hop participants is below, but if you encounter a broken link or any other issues along the hop, please feel free to start back at the Gossamer Blue blog HERE.

Have a lovely day!

AWDML We Go Together

|
Hi Friends!  Happy Tuesday and Happy A Walk Down Memory Lane Day!  As you know, Tuesday is my blog day for AWDML and I have a feminine page with sparkle and shine + a photo tutorial. Click HERE to check it out.

This is such a special page to me as Grandma is no longer with us.  I'm so sad the girly won't get to have that special relationship with her and I have only a handful of photos of the two of them together. This is a perfect example of why I am a memory keeper.

Go hug your granny and tell her you love her :)

Gossamer Blue Little One

|
Here's to the weekend!  It's Friday and I am going to be a busy little bee doing lots of crafty stuff this weekend, mainly prepping material and working on DT assignments.  Believe me, it feels like the opposite of work when I'm doing my awesome job.

This little lovey is my girly...she made a tea party for us by the front door when she was about 18 months old.  Isn't she precious?  Sigh....... The Crate Paper house pattern paper in the September kits was the perfect backdrop to the photo.  I've been on an angle kick lately, just to change it up on my pages a little, and I've also been simplifying a bit; I'm still using layers and creating depth and all the things I love, but I'm trying to scale back just a bit so my pages have a little more of a clean feel to them.

I used the September Main Kit, Main Add-on and Life Pages Add-on #3.  Isn't that little bear head by Crate Paper so sweet?

Get Busy!

This is a really big deal.

I've been hard at work on a project that is so HUGE, so EXCITING and so FABULOUS it's been killing me to not speak a word about it!  Eeeeek!

But now I can.  The day is here my friends, and I can sing it from the mountain tops!

I'M TEACHING A CLASS AT GOSSAMER BLUE!  I chose four women who are so crazy-talented to contribute:  Emily Spahn, Heather Conklin, Monika Wright and Sabrina Alery, and believe me, your socks are about to be knocked straight off.

I hope you will enroll in my Delight in the Details class HERE.  Enrollment includes the class stamp set (while supplies last), a 4x6 set designed by the adorable and perfect Peppermint at One Little Bird.

Preparing this class has been a labor of love, but ya know what?  I have loved every. single. second. Nicole has been amazing as the class coordinator for Gossamer Blue, cheering me on every step of the way.  So thrilled to have been given this opportunity from Lori and everyone involved with Gossamer Blue.

Enrollment is open and there is a separate class kit for sale HERE.  Can't wait to see you in the Gossamer Blue classroom!

AWDML Enjoy the Now

|
Happy Tuesday!  It's my day to post on the A Walk Down Memory Lane blog and I've got a nautical layout featuring October Afternoon's Treasure Map line.  I tossed a few Dear Lizzy buttons on the page for some details as well.  To see my process video, go HERE and watch on the AWDML blog.

Happy Crafting!

Gossamer Blue At Home

|
I am just starting to dabble in mixed media.  It's a brand new medium to me and one I am so excited for.  I used some gesso and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on this layout for Gossamer Blue featuring the September kits.
Aren't the chipboard birdies the most fun?

I liked the calendar page from Elle's Studio, but going down the left side of the paper were the words Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.  That didn't jive with my layout about a typical evening at home, so that's when I decided to add the gesso with watercolor on top.
I used my heat gun to dry the gesso after I applied it with a palette knife, then dabbed watercolor over that, drying it a few times along the way.  I love the softness that watercolor brings to scrapbook pages.
The items for this page came from the Main Kit, Main Kit Add-on and Add-on #2.  September kits really flew off the shelves this month, so unfortunately those kits are sold out.  Go HERE to check out the September Life Pages kits, they are just as good as the scrapbook kits and several are still available.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend my U.S. friends :)

Gossamer Blue Celebrate

|
The September reveal was Tuesday and I hope you all grabbed your kits and are ready to create!  I made this page featuring Pinkfresh Studios items, along with a couple dashes of Crate Paper and Fancy Pants.

The colors in the September kits complemented the girly's 3rd birthday party perfectly.  I love all the tiny bits:  puffy stickers, glitter stickers and sequins!  I used Scrapbook Add-on #2 (sold out) and the Life Pages kit (still available HERE).

I've said it before and I'll say it again--these kits are just so HAPPY!

Makers gotta make :)

AWDML Big Title Big Impact

|
Hello and Happy September 1st!  It's Tuesday so I have a blog post HERE on the A Walk Down Memory Lane blog.  I used my Silhouette to create one big title for some big impact.  Click the link above to read the how-to.  Gotta love the colorful Bella Blvd Lucky Starz line when you're making a statement on your scrapbook page :)
