A Quickie

I finished my four GB challenge layouts last night.  I scrapped until my eyes were crossed and when I went to bed I couldn't sleep!  Isn't that the way it works?  Here they are...

My What Big Eyes You Have

Today is a busy day for us, rec basketball games for a niece and some other family and friends coming by, so I'm off to run around like a mad woman for the next few hours!  Hope everyone has a super Saturday :)

Project 12

|
I decided to play along with Gossamer Blue and do a Project 12 album this year.  Each month will get it's own 2 page spread, summing up our life in pics and moments for that month.  Until I did a December Daily (which is still in progress, let's be honest), I've never done a pocket page style album, so I think there's a bit of a learning curve ahead.  Nonetheless, here's my first attempt...

Two-page spread, in album.  I used Simple Stories SN@P, The Twinery twine, Versamark and Zing, Stampin' Up! ink.  Tiny Attacher, Tombow and Scotch to adhere the bits and pieces together, and The Paper Studio punches.  Stamps from Technique Tuesday and Studio Calico (I think!).

I use my phone to take all my pics, and print thru Postal Pix app or Printstagram.  I'm using American Crafts page protectors and album.  To be totally honest, I really wanted to use a Simple Stories SN@P album and page protectors, but their new stuff won't be out until mid-Spring and I just couldn't wait that long to put the album together.  I do love the page protector styles that AC offers, but fell in love with Simple Stories new stuff and wanted an excuse to buy it.  Ha!  Definitely check out the new Simple Stories stuff, I think they are my new BFF.

A Few Family Pics

The amazing Tracy Perrett took Miss Q's 9 mo. pics and our family pics for Christmas cards.  Here's a few from Q's session way back in early December:

The last one is my very favorite, love how Q is cradling the tree with her little legs and feet.  Tracy is a great photographer!!!!

It's just so-so

Hello Everyone!

I absolutely LOVE the January GB kits!  I set to work making a few layouts, this one is for the January Sketch challenge on the GB blog:

For whatever reason, I just couldn't get this layout to photograph very well.  I think it looks rather plain in the photo, but in person it doesn't seem to be so....so-so.  The pics are from a family get-together on Dec. 22 at my Fav Sissy's house.  My oldest sister gave Miss Q some books for Christmas and I would have to say that my Q enjoyed every minute of reading books with her Aunt Susie.

I have decided to be a part of the Project 12 challenge with Gossamer Blue as well.  I'll share my two page layout of December 2012 soon!
